Hadn't seen Eddie since we played ball close to 50 years ago when me and my brothers Eldon and Robert Elwood played for Jim Smith on that terrific La Z Boy team. He was a great competitor as all of the Durbins were , but 69 seems to be way to young to slipping off into Eternity. Our last breath here is our first one back with God. Love reading Psalms 139 in the Passion version as God says he loved us before he made anything and before He breathed us into our mothers womb and He wrote a book about each of us. Priceless! A book of what he wants us to do for Him on earth. Thank You Jesus for preparing a place for each of us, we just have to claim it and I'm not talking about a cabin up in the woods. Yes there is softball in Heaven and I plan on hitting some homers in that field of dreams. Comfort and Peace and Blessings on all who knew and loved this man.
